How To Choose The Perfect Toilet For Your Home

It is the essential piece of furniture in any home! Without a toilet, a home would be hard to live in and challenging to sell. A toilet is an integral part of any bathroom. It can add style and elegance to the space. This depends on the type of toilet that you choose to install.

Below is a list listing the various types of toilets. Keep in mind that they are available in a wide range of styles as well as colours

Close Coupled Toilets

Close-coupled toilets are the most commonly found in bathrooms. Close-coupled means that the bowl (or water tank) and the cistern are very close. If needed, these designs allow you to sit backwards against something while sitting down. These toilets can be operated either by a flush handle or a button at the top of the cistern.

High-Level Toilets

The cistern is mounted high on the wall of high-level toilets and connected to it via a long length of flush pipe. Because these toilets require chains to flush, very few people can reach the cistern. When we think of Victorian bathrooms, high-level toilets are often associated with. The cistern need not be mounted so high. It's only necessary for that Victorian feel.

Low-Level Toilets

Low-level toilets can be described as a mix of close-coupled toilets and high-level toilets. The cistern is located behind the pan and is similar to a close-coupled toilet. However, it is connected via a flush pipe, much shorter than a high-level toilet. A chain flush is not necessary because the lower cistern allows for a handle or button to be attached directly to the cistern.

Back to Wall Toilets

Back-to-wall toilets have a cistern that is hidden within the wall or storage. This toilet works well in bathrooms with a lot of storage but not much floor space. It can also give large bathrooms a minimal look.

Wall Hung Toilets

Wall-hung toilets have the futuristic look of all toilet designs. The toilets are attached to the wall using strong frames. This leaves a gap between the floor and the bowl, making it easier to clean. Although the cistern is hidden, it can also be mounted on the wall.

Concealed Cisterns

Concealed toilets are cisterns hidden in walls. They usually have back to wall or wall-hung toilets. Modern concealed cisterns are small enough to fit into spaces as small and compact as 90mm. They can have dual flush water volumes of 3 litres or 7.5 litres.

Your choice of toilet is ultimately yours. We hope this helps you understand the basics, and we are always here to help.
